Customer must have prior approval from Hitachi before returning Products for credit. A Returns Merchandise Authorization (RMA) Number and form will be supplied to Customer if Hitachi agrees to consider a return. Such number must be shown on the outside of the package, on the return packing list and on all correspondence concerning the items to be returned. Products returned must be of current model, in new, complete, resalable condition and in the original carton, with original packaging and documentation.
Copies of the original invoice or sales order number must accompany the return. If the original invoice or sales order number is not available, Hitachi will determine the value of the credit. Acceptance of the return by Hitachi shall be subject to receipt by Hitachi and satisfactory results of inspection of the returned items. Transportation charges must be pre-paid by Customer on all Products returned for credit. Any credit for returns will be issued on the invoice price, less a minimum fifteen percent (15%) inspection, handling and restocking charge (restocking charge does not apply to customer satisfaction guarantee). No deduction from payment of the original invoice is authorized. If credit is allowed, Hitachi will issue a credit memo to adjust the balance.
