  • This is  a Second Shift - Monday - Friday 4pm - 1am

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (including other duties that may be assigned:
  • Directly supervises warehouse employees in the distribution center.
  • Plans, directs, and coordinates all restocking and shipment activity through supervision of workers engaged in daily operation of the distribution center
  • Responsible for personnel development, including hiring, training, performance, management and compensation
  • Carries out all responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
  • Enforces operational and quality control standards
  • Ensures all established costs, quality and delivery commitments are met
  • Coordinates distribution activities with all other functions of the organization and suppliers
  • Create and review reports and directs the resolution of any issue
  • Performs administrative activities associated with the effective management of the warehouse operations
  • Interfaces with other departments to ensure deadlines are met
  • Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet shipment schedules
  • Determines responsibilities of assigned staff positions to accomplish business objectives
  • Trains and ensures all assigned employees are aware of and comply with company, government, and customer policies, procedures, and regulations including OSHA policies and procedures.
  • Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems
  • Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve goals

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year College or University
  • One to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Prior work experience as a supervisor or above in logistics or warehouse role

  •  Fork Lift Certification Required

Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public

Mathematical Skills:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, and percentages.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Powerpoint Design software; Internet software; 5/6S Program; Warehouse Management System (WMS) Order processing systems; Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet software and Microsoft Word Processing software

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form

Physical Demands and Work Environment: 
 HKU conforms to the American with Disabilities Act (ADA).
 The work environment is consistent with normal warehouse conditions.
 Must have the ability to lift 10-50 pounds. 
 Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl 
 Occasionally exposed to risk of shock, high or precarious places, fumes or airborne particles.
Noise level in the work environment is usually loud but consistent with normal warehouse conditions.
